Oggi con Layla e Pippi visitiamo un parco non grande ma molto importante dal punto di vista storico, e dal quale parte una meravigliosa ciclabile che porta direttamente a Mantova.

Parcheggiamo quindi l’auto in Piazza Giulia ed entriamo nel parco, che è un piccolo gioiello verde nel quale i nostri cani possono evadere dal traffico del quartiere, e proseguire fino a raggiungere anche il centro città.
E’ diviso in due parti: la prima con parecchie panchine e qualche tavolo per fare picnic, leggere, rilassarsi, fare merenda.. la seconda, attraversando un varco ospita una pista da pattinaggio a rotelle e giochi per i bambini, strutture che a mio parere possono essere utilissime anche per un’esplorazione dei nostri amici a 4 zampe, quando non utilizzate naturalmente.
Attraversiamo il ponticello e ci troviamo dietro la chiesa di San Michele, dove anche qui il verde è stato recentemente sistemato, con nuove piante e panchine, e da qui prendiamo la ciclabile che più avanti costeggia il lungolago.
Per cani camminatori è perfetta, perché è un percorso con diversi paesaggi: dalla città al bosco, per raggiungere la Rocca di Sparafucile alle porte di Mantova. Ma anche per quei cani che hanno bisogno di abituarsi a passeggiare in mezzo alle persone e annusare è un ottima soluzione perché la frequentazione non è altissima, dipende comunque da orario e giorno della settimana. Non ci porterei un cane che ha difficoltà con le biciclette, e che potrebbe aggredire i ciclisti, data la larghezza ridotta della strada.
Inoltre su questo percorso è necessario mantenere il guinzaglio ad 1 metro e mezzo.
Come ormai sapete, il consiglio è sempre quello di valutare le esigenze del vostro cane:
Gli piace camminare?
Ha difficoltà con persone, bici, passeggini, runners?
Ha difficoltà fisiche che non gli permettono di camminare a lungo?
E’ abituato al guinzaglio lungo ed è più frustrato con guinzaglio più corto?
